|Trio Pennetier-Pasquier-Pidoux||Sept. 21, 2008|
Jean-Claude Pennetier - piano
Régis Pasquier - violin
Renowned for their ensemble playing, which highlights their musical individuality and total musical rapport, these three great French soloists have been playing chamber music together since they were students at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris. Each graduated with top honours from this institution, where they now teach, and rapidly established major solo careers in addition to their commitment to the Trio. They tour Europe and the Americas to critical acclaim and have recorded Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich on the Lyrinx label and Schubert, Chausson and Brahms on the Harmonia Mundi label under the name of Les Musiciens. Pianist Jean-Claude Pennetier has many prizes including the Prix Gabriel Fauré and has conducted and composed. Violinist Régis Pasquier’s awards include the Georges Enesco Prize and the Charles Cros Prize for Best Soloist in 1991. Cellist Roland Pidoux has performed with top artists and served as artistic director for Harmonia Mundi.
