The members of this trio have known each other since their student days at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris where each graduated with top honours and where they now teach. As a trio they tour Europe and North and South America to critical acclaim and at the same time each has a major solo career. Award winning pianist Jean-Claude Pennetier holds important international awards, a.o. the Prix Gabriel Fauré and he has also composed and conducted. Violinist Régis Pasquier’s awards include the Georges Enesco Prize from the Academy of French Recording and the Charles Cros Prize for “Best Soloist for 1991”. Cellist Roland Pidoux has a distinguished career performing with top artists and has served as artistic director for a series of recordings for Harmonia Mundi. The Trio has recorded Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich for the Lyrinx label and Schubert, Brahms and Chausson for Harmonia Mundi under the name “Les Musiciens”.
